The Bank of Gallipolis, OH 1839 $10, 1072. A great example of an early Ohio bank note, signed, issued, and lightly circulated. Although it looks Uncirculated at a glance, with no hard folds or other distractions, a technical grade, if one must be assigned, is Choice Very Fine. The ingraved vignettes are bright and the penned date, numbers and signatures look extremely fresh. One of our favorite Ohio notes.
