We agree with the Paper Money Guarantee technical grade, but this note looks way better. The notation of "rust" refers to the little spot seen near "state" at the upper left. There is a tear in a similar position at the right side margin that is unobtrusive and protected from expansion by the PMG encapsulation. Produced for the bank in the North before the Civil War, this note exhibits wonderful, superbly engraved vignettes.
