An exceptionally nice note given the extraordinary preservation, with bold, original, coloring and strong hand applied numbers and signatures. New, but for minor handling at the right edge, the note must be downgraded because of some stapleholes. Although hard to find when the note lays flat, they emerge when held to the light. Consequently, we value this note as equivalent to an XF rather than CU, which we can argue is a bargain for this attractive artifact of Civil War history.
