Fr.300, 1891 $10 Silver Certificate "Tombstone Note", Extremely Fine
1891 $10 Silver Certificate, Bruce-Roberts, Extremely Fine+
This is a truly beautiful example to the popular "Tombstone Note". Although we agree with PMG's technical grade of Extremely Fine, at a glance it looks like a Gem. Even with a close examination it still looks more like an AU note.
Fr.300 is a better signature variety. The "type notes" for the Tombstone are the Fr.299 Tillman-Morgan for the Series 1891, and the Fr.304 Parker-Burke for the Series 1907. Both of those exist in triple the numbers of the Bruce-Roberts.
This note's pedigree includes the collection of Chet Krause.
