Poland's Second Collectors' Commemorative Note in folder of issue, Gem CU.

This legal tender note was issued in 2008 to celebrate the 90th anniversaty of Poland's regaining independence in 1918. The front displays engraved images of a bust of Jozef Pilsudski and the Belvedere Palace. The back includes the 1919 design of the state emblem, the White Eagle, and the soldiers' monument located on Jozef Pilsudski Square in Kielce. A large watermark is easily visible from both sides.

The Monument depicts four Polish soldiers symbolizing the Kingdom of Poland, Lesser Poland, Silesia and Greater Poland.

Polish statesman Jozef Klemens Pilsudski was the person most responsible for the creation of the Second Polish Republic in 1918.
