Issue of January 4, 1863 by the State of Tennessee, unnumbered but hand signed by the Cashier, this note was payable to the bearer "in Confederate Treasury notes when presented in sums of five dollars or its multiple".

An attractive note that was printed by Keatinge & Ball of Columbia, SC, who also printed Confederate States of America currency. This example is the finest we have seen.
