Fr.1908-H, 1974 $1 St. Louis Federal Reserve Notes - Ends of Brick, with Label, H-A Block

Until the Treasury Department switched to modern shrink-wrap inventory processing with bar codes, they used package labels such as this one affixed to plywood boards at the end of a 4000 note brick. Few labels have survived and labels together with the first and last notes of the brick are actually quite scarce - a fact not apparent in the relatively modest prices of these interesting collectibles. This example from a $4,000 brick of $1 Federal Reserve Notes contain the notes from the St. Louis H-A block with serial numbers H15584001A and H1558000A.

A really neat item to add to a small-size collection or exhibit!
