The Peoples National Bank of Lodi, OH, Charter #10677, 1902PB $20, Very ChoiceAU, PMG-58

This is by far the finest note known on the bank or the town of Lodi. It is a beautiful AU, easily mistaken for a Choice CU. As a matter of fact, it sold as such when last available in the CAA auction at FUN 1994. It is one of only six large-size notes existing (there are seven small-size notes known). None of the other surviviors exceed the grade of Fine.

Lodi is in Medina County, Ohio. The Peoples National Bank was preceeded by two other banks. A single, unique note in lesser grade is known for each of them and their price tags, if they were to become available, would greatly exceed this superlative example. SOLD!
